The Veil Classes: All 8 Trainers, Costs & Abilities
The trainers are spread across the map, and the quests send you after specific mobs and materials. Where creators disagree on a step, both versions are listed under conflicts below. Rankings live on the class tier list.

| Hive Disciple | 30 Sins | Hive priest — The broken-down church inside the Cyst | Find the Putrid Symbiote in the Truth, then the Forsaken Symbiote below the Cyst elevator, then kill 50 Hivelings | 1,000 Silver |

| Florist | 30 Offerings | Druid — The Glade, near the Verdant Hollow | Bring a Hiveling Arm, a Fire Essence (Cambion drop in the Scorch Basin) and a Cyst Worm | 1,000 Silver |
Dash, aura and ability of each class
| Class | Dash (Q) | Aura (C) | Ability (G) | Primary bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | None | Rage: +40% universal damage as a primary class (+25% inside a hybrid) | Forward kick that launches the target and sets it on fire | +10% knockback, -10% resistance |
| Marauder | Flash Step, the fastest dash in the game | Movement speed, attack speed and stamina regeneration | Vanishing Gambit: teleport behind the targeted enemy and briefly stun them | +8% speed, -10% resistance |
| Crusader | Short teleport dashes | A beam of light that heals you and nearby allies | Sacred Sanctuary: a domain with increased regeneration and resistance for everyone inside | +5% healing, +10% blind resistance, bigger Sanctuary, slightly lower speed |
| Duskwing | Crow-form dash | Tendril grapple onto an enemy: +50% damage against them and short invincibility | Counter stance: if you take more than 5 damage during it, the attacker is blinded, loses sanity and you get 3 seconds of invincibility (9-second cooldown) | Tendril aura rises to +75% damage and adds knockback, speed, crit and resilience |
| Cultist | Wraith-form dash that deals 1 damage on pass-through | Domain: 7 damage per tick and sanity drain (15 every 3 seconds) to players inside, plus a stun on entry | False Image: spend 5 HP and some sanity to spawn a decoy (up to 2) that explodes when damaged | Not documented |
| Hive Disciple | Leaves a clone behind; dash again within about 50 studs to teleport back to it | Choir of Flies: swarm aura, attacks apply Rot | Lunge grab that slams the target down with an explosion of Rot | +5% damage plus small extras |
| Sky Sentinel | Twin ice bursts that slow enemies | Summons a group of guardians | Stomp: +20% damage and +20% resistance to all your summons, and heals them 40% | +1 summon slot |
| Florist | Vines that damage and poison | Poison pools at your position | A flower that bursts in an aura explosion, damaging enemies and healing you | PvE damage boost |
Hybrid classes
Open the class menu, click any of the three kit slots and pick a move from another unlocked class. The moment one slot differs from the others you are a hybrid: the primary bonus line disappears, everything else stays. Creators run three-class hybrids without issue. The combinations that testers recommend are on the builds guide: Duskwing dash, Crusader aura and Florist or Crusader ability for PvE; Marauder or Duskwing dash, Hive Disciple grab and Gladiator aura for PvP.
Conflicting reports
- Gladiator: Red says the locket drops from armored skeletons in the Weeping Crypt; the Fandom page says it is a rare goblin drop.
- Hive Disciple: Jozu's tester calls it the best PvP class; in PvE it does nothing to rot-immune enemies.
- Sky Sentinel: Jozu's tester rated it low B or high C in PvE because the ice whips died quickly in testing.
- Florist: Called Verdant, Druid and Florist by different creators; the in-game class is Florist.

Class FAQ
How many classes are in The Veil?
Eight as of September 13, 2026: Gladiator, Marauder, Crusader, Duskwing, Cultist, Hive Disciple, Sky Sentinel and Florist. Every one costs 1,000 Silver on top of its Sin or Offering requirement.
Can I have more than one class?
Yes. Once learned, a class stays unlocked and you switch between them freely. Jozu ran Marauder, Sky Sentinel and Crusader on one slot and swapped in town.
What is a hybrid class?
Pick a dash, an aura and an ability from different classes you own. You lose the primary-class bonus (Gladiator drops from 40% to 25% rage damage, Crusader loses its heal boost) but you can combine up to three kits.
What are Sins and Offerings?
Alignment currencies. Sins come from killing players, letting explorers die and Idols of Hatred; Offerings from escorting explorers, bounties and Stones of Accord. Evil-side classes cost 30 Sins, good-side classes 30 Offerings, Marauder 15 of each.
Which class is best?
Crusader for PvE, Cultist or Hive Disciple for PvP, and the hybrid of Duskwing dash plus Crusader aura for most players. The tier list page has the full ranking.
