The Veil is a horde-based PvE and PvP action RPG by BlackstarDW Studios, inspired by Maze Runner, Made in Abyss and Terraria's Calamity mod. You play a runner who enters a maze at night, kills hordes, collects weapons of rising rarity and follows a main quest that ends at the Cell of Life. It opened to the public on September 5, 2026 and is in Beta v1.0.0.

No. You keep your slot when you die. What you lose is one prestige level, which is a small amount of max HP, and you can earn it back by killing bosses or players of equal or higher prestige. You get three character slots.

From codes (RELEASE gave 6, UPDATEFINALLY gives 5), from daily rewards, and from the shop. Spend them at the Stylist NPC in the Glade, the spawn town, to reroll without making a new slot.

Alignment currencies used to buy classes. Sins come from killing players, letting explorer NPCs die and Idols of Hatred; Offerings come from escorting explorers, bounties and Stones of Accord. Most classes cost 30 of one; Marauder costs 15 of each.

Open the Information tab, click the fourth (hand) icon and click the accessory you want to unequip. Vanity accessories come off the same way.

A hidden NPC in a crevice in the Murmur section of the mines who only speaks in binary. The three lines decode to Pls help me, Why are you here if you can't help me, and It's so cold. As of the Calm Luh Update nothing follows the conversation; there is no quest, reward or hand-in.

Yes. The game page says it is available on all devices, and the Compass game pass exists mainly for players navigating on smaller screens. PC keybinds are on the controls section of the map page.

Badges exist for 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th Prestige. On September 13, 2026 two players had the 20th Prestige badge and 161 had the 15th, so the ceiling is at least 20.

Crusader if you play PvE with friends (30 Offerings, 25 Wraith kills), Gladiator if you want raw damage (30 Sins, 30 goblins plus a Gladiator's Locket). Marauder is the cheapest quest but has no damaging move. See the class tier list for the reasoning.
