The Veil Prestige: How It Works & Max Prestige
How it works
- Base HP is 200; each prestige adds a fixed amount (Deepshaken: 250 HP at prestige 3).
- Boss kills grant prestige, but each boss has a ceiling: the Unfinished stops giving it at prestige 4.
- Player kills grant prestige only when the victim's prestige is equal to or higher than yours, which is why creators recommend PvE for climbing.
- Dying costs one level; PvP-friendly zones such as the starting maze section do not.
- A boss you have killed before takes more damage from you: +10% after one kill, +20% after five, scaling to ten.

Prestige FAQ
What does prestige do in The Veil?
Each prestige level raises your max HP. Deepshaken was at 250 HP on prestige 3 against a base of 200, and Human adds 5 more per level on top.
How do I gain prestige?
Kill bosses, or kill players whose prestige equals or exceeds yours. Jozu went from prestige 2 to 4 farming the Unfinished, which caps at 4; the Festering Wound and the Cell of Life go higher.
What happens when I die?
You lose one prestige level and the HP that came with it. Nothing else is lost; the game is not permadeath.
What is the max prestige?
At least 20: two players held the 20th Prestige badge on September 13, 2026. Good Game Gaming mentions it may go higher.
